Natural Menopause Treatment - Ways To Treat Symptoms Naturally

Women often look out for a natural menopause treatment when they start experiencing the symptoms of menopause. Menopause is a natural change that every woman goes through... it is not a disease... it's important to remember that. Hormone replacement theory used to be widely prescribed to alleviate menopause symptoms. People are moving away from that now days... as hormone replacement therapy has been shown to be risky. Women today are increasingly turning to natural menopause treatments to alleviate symptoms such as hot flashes, anxiety, depression, mood swings and insomnia. Try following these tips to help you control your menopause symptoms: Modify your diet. Changing your diet is instrumental in helping relieve menopause symptoms. Eating the right foods helps keep your body balanced... which in turn helps you feel your best. Try to make sure that at least 50% of your diet consists of fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables are chocked full of vitamins and nutrients that your body needs. Bulking up on fruits and vegetable also helps you cut down on your dairy and red meat consumption. Eating a lot of meat causes your body to become acidic... to balance this out your body releases calcium as a buffer. When this happens your body is deficient in Calcium. This is a double whammy because once you hit menopause age your body stops repairing your bones as quickly. You really need all the calcium that you can get. Meats also tend to be high in saturated fats... and these fats decrease the amount of estrogen you utilize. Exercise. Not only is exercise healthy and invigorating, but it is also an effective natural menopause treatment. There have been studies don that show that participating in an exercise regimen can completely do away with menopause symptoms in as many as 55% of women. If you can do some light weight training your bones will thank you! There was a study done that showed that women who strength train for as little as twice a week actually gain bone density. Women who don't exercise or participate in any strength training typically lose 2% of their bone density per year. Experiment with herbs. Herbal remedies are becoming more accepted as a natural menopause treatment. Herbs are safe, affordable, and inexpensive. I personally feel they are a lot safer than any sort of a hormone replacement therapy. Look into herbs such as Valerian Root, Chamomile, and St. Johns Wort to help you sleep, relieve anxiety, and stabilize your mood.
